It is no secret that I love reading. I know that reading is not a hobby...I know that, but my hobby is reading. I am currently reading this fascinating/terrifying book about scientology: Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood, and the Prison of Belief by Lawrence Wright. It is not a book I would typically purchase, but when flipping through the book at the store, I came across a passage about an FBI raid, and was instantly hooked. It is a 500 page behemoth, that I am only 100 pages into (I just got it yesterday) but it is really engrossing. If you are looking for something nonfiction to read, I would suggest this book.

For something short, there is a piece in the New Yorker about Ikea, that is a fascinating look into the secretive company. Click Here to read it.
There is an interesting article on slate, about how husbands hold womens careers back more then children do. Here is the article.
If you are looking for a fiction book...
A short book that is absolutely amazing is Dept. of Speculation by Jenny Offill. It is an amazing dissection of a marriage that is falling apart. It is so short that you can read it in an afternoon. Yay!
If you are looking for a super long page turner The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton is one of the most beautiful books I have ever read.
If there is anything you have read recently that you think I should read, let me know in the comments section!!
